For as much as I love bread and anything doughy, I’ve never made anything like this. I also love me some cream cheese icing! And because I’m really diggin’ trying new recipes, I thought a good place to start would be cinnamon buns!
Best idea I’ve had in a while! ♥
After searching for a good recipe to try out, I came across a truly great find on Pinterest! There are probably lots of good ones out there but these cinnamon buns were ohhhhh soooo delicious so I’m super partial to this recipe! I stuck to her recipe for the buns, except with this batch as my second go around I tweaked it simply by making more of the butter and cinnamon sugar mix for the filling. I also didn’t use her cream cheese icing recipe this time. Instead, I did this…
Cream Cheese Icing
1/4 cup butter – softened
1/2 of an 8 ounce package of cream cheese – softened
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
3/4 cup icing sugar
Directions: Cream together the softened butter and cream cheese together with a mixer. Add in the vanilla and icing sugar and blend with the mixer until well combined. I slathered the cream cheese icing onto the buns when they came out of the oven, making sure to get every inch of the buns covered and focusing on the center of each bun so the cream cheese icing could melt in between the layers! ♥
I found that I love more or a cream cheesier taste to the icing than the one that she used… just my personal preference. However, the first time I made them I used her recipe for the cream cheese and of course they were still delicious. I just wanted to tweak them a bit to add my own personal touch!
OMG, I’d say they were as good if not better than any of the cinnamon buns I’ve bought. I hope you enjoy these as much as I did! I’ll definitely be making these again, and again!

You will NOT be disappointed with this awesome recipe!
She did her homework so that we wouldn’t have to!
So go on now, you know you want to make some!
